Warranty
Two warranties, two names on them
They are separate. Your contract names both and says what each covers and leaves out.
The material
Given by the maker of the shake, tile or copper, where it offers one. Read its terms: they usually cover defects in the material, not storm, impact or wear.
The workmanship
Given by us, for the number of years written on your contract. It covers how the roof was laid; it does not cover storms, falling branches or foot traffic.
The caretaker plan is neither
It is a service contract for visits and small repairs. It is not insurance and not a warranty.
Credentials
Registration and insurance, in writing
Both are listed in the footer of every page. A certificate of insurance goes to you or your property manager on request.
Registration
Home improvement contractor registration · NJ Registration 000000 · NJ Division of Consumer Affairs
New Jersey registers home improvement contractors, roofers included. Look a contractor up with the Division of Consumer Affairs before you sign.
Insurance
General liability and workers' compensation insurance · The carrier named on the certificate
A certificate goes to you or your property manager on request.
Safety
How we work on a roof
Anyone near an edge or on a steep slope is tied off to an anchor. Ladders are set at the right angle and extend past the roof edge. We do not climb a wet, icy or windy roof.

Read both warranties before you sign
Your estimate lists both warranties with their terms.
